Day 1: Arrival
You arrive at Melville Hall airport where we will be welcoming you and give you your car, road map and travel guide. You will take a 10 minutes drive to Silks Hotel and check in. Depending on your arrival time you can spend your day lounging by the pool or exploring the nearby rivers and beaches. Night at Rosalie Bay Resort.
Day 2: North Coast, Fort Cabrits and Indian River
You will take the north coast roast all the way to Portsmouth, the second largest town in Dominica. On the way you will visit the colorful fisherman village of Calibishie, the secluded gold sand beaches of Batibou and Hamstead Bay where scenes of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" were filmed. Have a cold drink at the lovely bay of Anse Soldat and take the beautiful loop on the northern tip of the island, drive though the crater of a volcano and admire some of the best panoramas.
In Portsmouth you will visit the historical Fort of Cabrits and take a raw boat ride up the Indian River where you will be amazed at the luxuriant vegetation hanging overhead and along the placid waters of this meandering stream. Night at Rosalie Bay Resort
Day 3: Carib Territory and Emerald Pool
Take a journey through the north eastern coast to discover the culture of the last remaining Carib Indians. You will visit the model village of Barana Aute, drive trough picturesque villages and scenic roads of the east Coast. Make a small detour into the National Forest Reserve to swim in the crystal clear waters of Emerald pool with it's majestic waterfall. Your day trip will end at Jungle Bay Resort and Spa where you will check in for the night.
Day 4: South East Hike or Drive
You will spend the day exploring the south east coast. Hike to the beautiful Victoria Falls and Sari Sari Falls, or take a scenic drive on the Atlantic coast and visit Rosalie Beach, White River, Pointe Mulatre, Riviere Cyrique and the villages of Delices and la Plaine. Night at Jungle Bay Resort
Day 5: Roseau and South West Coast
You will leave the east coast and take a drive to the capital city of Roseau. You will make a detour to explore the south west coast visiting the picturesque villages of Pointe Michel, Soufriere and its hot water springs, Scott's Head where the Atlantic Ocean meats the Caribbean sea. Snorkel in volcanic bubbles at Champagne bay. In Roseau you will check in to the Fort Young Hotel and take a walk through the small Creole style town.
Day 6: Roseau Valley
This short drive will take you to the many sites and attractions the Roseau valley has to offer. Take a short hike to breath taking Trafalgar twin falls, swim up a small canyon at Titou Gorges, Kayak on the Fresh Water Lake, hike to boeri lake or to one of the only two Boiling Lakes in the world... End the day bathing in therapeutic hot sulfur waters in Woten Waven. Night at Fort Young Hotel
Day 7: Departure
Drive back to the airport Through the National Forest Reserve. Depending on the time of your flight you may stop at Spanny Falls for a last swim. You will return your rental car at the airport.
